West Campus Development Trust’s University District Launches Argyle by Avi Urban

The newest U/D residential development offers full customization, allowing homeowners to create their own space from start to finish

West Campus Development Trust (the Trust) and Avi Urban are pleased to announce the launch of Argyle, a new residential condominium offering in the quickly expanding University District neighbourhood in Calgary’s northwest. 

Today, the Argyle show suite was formally unveiled at the University District Discovery Centre. Upon completion, Argyle will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom condos ranging in size from 500 to 1,150 square feet. The completed six-storey building will include a total of 128 units nestled above a retail ground level.  

“This is the second project we have launched with Avi Urban in University District, and our seventh for sale residential project overall, if you factor in our valued partners Brookfield Residential and Truman,” says James Robertson, President and CEO of West Campus Development Trust. “Creating a destination neighbourhood like University District requires innovation and creativity, and Avi has been a great partner to help bring our vision to life.” 

A unique feature of Argyle will be its fully customizable options within each unit. Instead of choosing from pre-determined layouts, Argyle owners will have the opportunity to work directly with a designer from their 6,000 square foot Selections Centre that features thousands of style options.

Argyle by Avi Urban will be located directly across from University District’s 3-acre Central Park and will feature a ground level retail podium that includes shops, entertainment, restaurants and essential services. In the heart of University District, Argyle will also be a short distance from the University of Calgary, the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Foothills Medical Centre, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, the University C-Train station and nearby shopping districts.

Argyle residences will start in the $280s.
